HARRISBURG, PA May 13, 2013 -- Pennsylvania Bar Association President Forest N. Myers has re-appointed Elderkin attorney James H. Richardson, Jr. to serve on the statewide Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee.

The Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee responds to requests of Pennsylvania lawyers concerning the impact of the provisions of the Rules of Professional Conduct or the Code of Judicial Conduct upon that lawyer's prospective conduct. The Committee also reviews and recommends proposals for change in the rules governing professional responsibility.

Jim, serving his 20th year on the Committee, has issued or authored over 30 ethics opinions to the benefit of the Members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Jim organized, moderated and presented a panel seminar entitled "What Every Family Lawyer Needs to Know About Lawyer and Judge Discipline" at the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section's Annual Summer Meeting in 2012.  The panel included the Chief Disciplinary Counsel of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as the Chief Counsel to the Judicial Conduct Board of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Jim is the chair of the Elderkin Law Firm's Family Law Department.
