Richardson, Jr. published a case note annotation in the December 23rd, 2013 issue of the Pennsylvania Family Lawyer concerning the case of In Re: Neal, No. 12-4206 (6th Circuit 2013). The judicial opinion addressed the interplay between property and debt distribution in divorce cases and the United States Bankruptcy Code on a very finite issue.
In Neal, the Federal Appellate Court determined that a separation agreement signed by a former husband and a former spouse constituted a fraudulent transfer because the debtor spouse had not received a reasonable equivalent value of marital assets.
